It was a rainy White’s Wildwood Retreat wedding in Chippewa Falls. Tucked in the hills nearby lots of lovely little orchards that come to life in the coming months, it’s a hidden gem of the Chippewa Valley. As the girls quietly got ready in the upstairs of the cabin at White’s Wildwood Retreat, LLC, the rain started softly coming down. We photographed the little details of the day including a pearl necklace that Emily chose to wear that had also been worn by her Grandmother and Mother on their own wedding days. By the time I had spent time photographing the guys getting ready, pinning on boutonnieres and left the guys cabin it was pouring sheets of rain.
Plans had to be changed, dresses and shoes were wet but it didn’t dampen the spirit of Emily & Adam’s day. It was especially sweet that just before the grand march the sun peeked out for about 15 minutes and we snuck out into that sweet sunshine for a few evening portraits. I adored my time with these two, their family and friends for such a wonderful celebration. Congratulations to you both and enjoy your time soaking up a little bit of Colorado on your honeymoon! Such a great place to get away, enjoy the outdoors and relax!
