Though these two were both born and raised in Eau Claire – it wasn’t until Halloween of 2014 that they met while living in Minneapolis. They had mutual friends, and Brittany happened to live with one of them. Their friend was arranging a peddle pub and invited Jake along and as Brittany put it, “the rest is history.”
Next June these two will be getting married in their hometown of Eau Claire which is why it was so fun to get to document them where they currently live, too! I loved that they wanted Stone Arch Bridge Minneapolis Engagement photos 🙂 Last week we met to explore a fun little area near the Nicollet Island Pavilion, St. Anthony Main Theater, Father Hennepin Bluff Park and the Stone Arch Bridge. They’re all pretty iconic & gorgeous!
Brittany & Jake love to travel – and just recently went on a trip to Europe (bucket list, here!)… love visiting Madison where Jake when to college and have been to New York twice. But it wasn’t until Jake and Brittany went on a hike last August that they decided to take a day to do something fun nearby. Brittany totally unsuspecting of what was coming – Jake made a big deal about taking their picture at a little spot in Willow River State Park near Hudson. Jake asked a random guy to take their photo, and then he proposed! Best ending of this story was that Jake had already arranged for their family & friends to meet them afterwards to celebrate! How absolutely sweet is that?!
