snowy engagement session ice age trail new auburn, wi | brooke + mike

Meet Brooke and Mike, high school sweethearts who both attended New Auburn High School.  They’ve been dating since Brooke was a Sophomore and Mike a Senior – and Mike popped the question at one of their favorite places, Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls.  The best part?  They had planned to go see the beautiful light display and he proposed a complete surprise to Brooke in the little pavilion with the Christmas tree.  I mean, how amazing is that?

We had SO MUCH FUN at this snowy session, and it only lasted hmmm 30-40 minutes… we called it because as you’ll see Wisconsin’s unpredictable winter weather took over for us.  We did however take advantage of the amazing warmth this past Friday (30 degrees people, that’s a heatwave with the weather we’ve been having) and I’m so glad we did – the snow couldn’t have been a more perfect addition to the love that these two share.   My favorite part of the session is that these two brought apple cider – something Brooke adores – to stay warm!

Brooke and Mike have a wonderful day planned for this July at Ferguson’s Apple Orchard (um, hello how gorgeous) – I absolutely love when couples take advantage of neat venues that speak about who they are as a couple and from what they’ve told me the orchard is going to be just that.  On top of that I’ve peeked at Brooke’s Pinterest board of ideas for her color palette inspiration and let’s just say it’s going to be downright gorgeous.  Until I can share that with you take a look at their lovely engagement photos and have yourself a mug of hot chocolate while you’re at it, it’s pretty cold out there today so cuddle up my friends!
