A Chippewa Falls Engagement Session with Emily & Michael
Emily & Michael met the summer of 2016, while they were both going to dental school in Milwaukee. They had both gone out with separate groups of friends and Michael happened to see Emily across the dance floor at a salsa club. Emily was there to take lessons, Michael to dance… but while Emily was dancing Michael approached one of her friends to ask about her then boldly walked up to her and asked her to dance. Needless to say they spent the rest of the evening dancing.
While they’ve spent a good chunk of their relationship long distance – Emily already practicing family dentistry in Eau Claire and Michael finishing his degree before they get married next summer – they love hiking, walking their dogs & just relaxing at home together.
Emily didn’t know it was coming, but this past year (actually a year to the date of their engagement session) they were on a family vacation in North Carolina when they went hiking. Michael had it all planned out to propose, but then it was raining, cold and foggy during their hike. He set up a camera to take their photo like he usually does, and that’s when he asked Emily to be his wife. Rain, fog and cold weather aside she of course said yes!
These two will be getting married next June and I’m really looking forward to the laughter & joy I know they will share with their family and friends that day. They’re so full of joy and it’s truly infectious – thanks for exploring Chippewa with me last week!
